Federal Election Campaign

In the 2015 Federal Election the CHC created a “Health Care for All” campaign in order to raise the profile of public health care and influence voters to support parties and candidates with strong positions on public health care. This campaign was focused on the need for federal leadership to ensure stable funding and national standards, along with the need for a National Public Drug Plan and a National Strategy for Seniors Care. In September we held a one day Twitter rally with the provincial and territorial Health Coalitions and our allies. #Stand4medicare trended nationally with 2842 tweets in total or 5 tweets per minute over 8 hours.
